Kaspersky for Windows Server
Looking for Kaspersky Security for Windows Server to protect your company’s server? Today, Windows server protection is included in Kaspersky Next licenses: the same license that protects a computer also protects a server.
Which license do you need for a Windows server?
Each Kaspersky Next license covers 1 computer or 1 server (Windows, Windows Server, or macOS) and 2 mobile devices. There is no need to purchase a separate product for the server: install Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows, which is compatible with Windows Server, and manage it from the same console as the rest of the devices.
- Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations: enterprise antivirus with Endpoint Detection and Response to see how each attack entered. 33,18 € per device and year, 54,45 € for three years (new customers), or 3,50 € per month via subscription.
- Kaspersky Next EDR Optimum: adds incident response, encryption, and patch and vulnerability management, which makes the biggest difference on a server. 70,42 € per device and year, 115,65 € for three years (new customers), or 7,00 € per month via subscription.
Prices excluding VAT. The minimum order is 5 licenses.
Do you only have one server?
With the minimum order of 5 Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations licenses, you protect the server and still have 4 licenses left for office computers or additional servers. The 5 licenses cost 165,90 € per year, excluding VAT.
Example: a company with 5 employees (5 computers, 5 smartphones, and 2 tablets) and one Windows Server needs 6 licenses.
Is it compatible with my Windows Server?
Yes, even with older versions. According to the official help for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 14 for Windows:
- Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, and 2016: yes, compatible.
- Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2: yes, compatible.
- Windows Server 2008 R2: yes, with Service Pack 1 and the Windows updates required by Kaspersky.
- Small Business Server 2011: yes, compatible.
- Windows Server 2008 (without R2) and 2003: no.
It also works in Server Core mode and on Remote Desktop servers (Terminal Server). In Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows, we explain what is installed and what is not when the device is a server.
What does it protect on the server?
- Malware and ransomware protection for shared files and folders.
- Protection against network threats and exploit prevention.
- Device and application control.
- Centralized management, in the cloud or on your own servers.
