WordPress Maintenance for Businesses

The majority of WordPress websites that get hacked do so for a very simple reason: they hadn’t updated the core, a plugin, or the theme in months. We’ll make sure yours isn’t one of them, without you having to remember to do it or understand IT. We work remotely from Barcelona (Sant Cugat del Vallès) for clients all over Spain.

What you gain with our maintenance

When you change text in Spanish, we translate it to the other languages on your website using our own AI, which understands the content of your site, and LanguageTool checks the grammar. No word or language limits.

Request your free diagnosis

We review your website with no obligation and let you know how it’s doing: security, backups, speed, and pending updates.

    Everything included, in detail

    Pre-audit security

Before activating your website, we analyze its code: first, we rule out secure code by checking the known hashes of the WordPress core and standard plugins. The remaining files are classified by type and reviewed according to their typology — PHP code, in particular, is studied file by file with Claude Code.

The diagnosis is free. If your website has any simple issues, we fix them at no cost when you hire our maintenance service; if the problems are more serious, we provide the diagnosis and a quote.

    Initial optimization

We protect your forms against spam by enabling invisible Google reCAPTCHA (no checkboxes or images), so you only receive messages from real people.

We check how much space your website occupies on the server to detect outdated copies and unnecessary files, and measure its loading speed. Then we install caching and apply performance optimizations, and measure again: the difference is noticeable.

Controlled update process: WordPress core, plugins, and theme

    Controlled updates

We update the core of WordPress, plugins, and theme one by one, so if something breaks, we know exactly what caused it.

Before updating each plugin or theme, we save a copy of its previous version on your own server. Additionally, we take a screenshot of each of the control pages you define (the homepage, a product page, the contact form, etc.) before and after the change. If an update breaks something, we receive an immediate alert and investigate the case.

    Automatic translation with AI (WPML)

We manage WPML from our maintenance panel, with automatic translation using our own local AI model, which runs on our servers. Before translating, the AI reads your website to understand your industry: the Catalan word «cargols» means «snails» in a restaurant context, but «screws» in a hardware store. Then, LanguageTool (the proofreader it is based on, for example, Softcatalà’s) reviews the grammar and vocabulary of each text. You create the content in Spanish, and during each periodic maintenance, everything missing is automatically translated into the other active languages on your website.

    No word or language limits.

AI content management for WordPress that updates texts and images without sharing passwords

    Content management with AI

Our agent in your WordPress allows us to update texts, images, forms, and products upon request, without you having to share administrator passwords. It is fully compatible with the WordPress editor and the most widely used visual page builders: Elementor and WPBakery (used in themes like Salient).

Every change is saved: if something doesn’t suit you, it can be undone instantly.

    SEO and GEO Optimization

In SEO, our artificial intelligence fills in the titles and meta descriptions for Google on all pages and adds alternative text (ALT) to all images across every language version of the website. Additionally, we review site speed, the sitemap, and structured data so that Google properly understands your website. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) prepares your content so that assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot will cite you when someone asks about what you do.

    Maintenance of your WooCommerce store

An online store has more components than a regular website: WooCommerce, the payment gateway, shipping methods, and billing or discount extensions. We periodically check that they work together.

If you need help with the daily management of your store (product creation and variations, bulk price updates, product infographics, etc.), request a quote from us: we can help you.

    Search for known vulnerabilities

Each installed plugin, the theme, and the version of WordPress are cross-referenced with the vulnerabilities published in the official CVE catalog — the international registry of security flaws — to determine if they have any known security issues, not just whether they are outdated.

In each maintenance report, we indicate which known vulnerabilities were addressed by the applied updates.

Illustration of abandoned plugin detection with puzzle icons, charts, and a 2019 calendar

    Detection of abandoned plugins

We cross-check each plugin with WordPress.org to determine whether its developer is still maintaining it or has abandoned it — we have identified real cases of closed plugins since 2019 that remained in production without anyone knowing.

If any are abandoned, we will notify you and propose an alternative that is actively maintained.

    Backups

We make full backups of your WordPress at the frequency of your plan and store them outside your hosting, on our own servers.

We keep a history of the last 12 months, not just the latest backup: if an issue takes weeks to notice, we can revert to a backup from before it started.

    Disaster Recovery

If your hosting fails completely, we can rebuild the entire website — files and database — on another server from any saved backup, not just the latest one.

This way, your website doesn’t depend on your hosting provider recovering: we bring it back online elsewhere. While your hosting is being fixed, your website runs from one of our own Plesk servers, which we have in both Windows and Linux for this purpose, and we handle changing the DNS so that your clients don’t notice anything.

    Periodic availability and performance check

We periodically check if your website is working, if the SSL certificate is active, and how long its pages take to respond. You choose which URLs are critical for your business—the homepage, a product page, the contact form—and we monitor them regularly.

Illustration of suspicious activity monitoring on WordPress, reviewing files and users

    Suspicious activity monitoring

We review the uploads folder for any code files that shouldn’t be there — a classic sign of a compromised website. If we find any, we move them to quarantine without deleting them and examine them.

If a new administrator user appears who didn’t exist in the previous maintenance, it is detected and reported — a clear indicator of a compromised account.

We detect misconfigured permissions on files and folders and correct them, saving the previous permission settings in case they need to be reverted.

    Premium license management

Our panel manages the licenses for your website’s premium plugins and themes. Many of these plugins remain outdated due to lack of a license, ultimately becoming a source of vulnerabilities: we renew them and keep them up to date.

The cost of premium licenses is billed separately, without management fees, except for WPML: we use our agency license, which is free for you.

    Report of what was done

Periodically you will receive a report that groups all the activity carried out on your website: details of updates, translations, incidents, content changes, response time, backups, and security review.

This way you always know that your website is running properly.

    Support and training

Behind our service are people, not robots. We teach you how to update the texts, images, and products of your WordPress, as well as create new content, so that you can do it yourself whenever you want.

And when you have a question, you can write to us by email or call us by phone: someone who knows your website will assist you.

Illustration with a support agent profile and video window for remote assistance

What do I need to do in my WordPress to activate the service?

    • We install a remote monitoring plugin that acts as an agent on your WordPress site.
    • This agent generates a unique connection key for your website when activated, which you can revoke at any time from the WordPress dashboard.
    • Using this key, we perform a free diagnosis of your website and provide you with an overview before you commit to anything. Afterward, we begin with backups and regular maintenance.
    • If everything goes well, your website stays up-to-date without you noticing any changes. If something doesn’t align, we notify you before making further adjustments.

Everything is managed from a custom control panel that centralizes the status of all maintained websites.

    Multi-client management panel

With our remote management panel, we can monitor, maintain, audit, and administer all websites in a semi-automatic way.

We have an automatic notification system that alerts us if your website does not have backups or if it presents any security or availability alerts.

    Frequently Asked Questions

The initial diagnosis is always free and without obligation. If we find issues — malicious code, outdated risky plugins, serious vulnerabilities, 500 errors — we explain what’s happening and how to resolve it. If the fix is straightforward, we carry it out at no cost when you sign up for maintenance. If things get more complicated, we provide the diagnosis and a quote to bring everything up to date before activating your service.

Before updating any plugin or theme, we save its previous version on your own server. If something stops working, we receive an immediate alert, revert to the previous version, and halt the process until we analyze the case: we never leave the website incomplete.

It’s not mandatory. We install our own agent on your WordPress site that generates a unique connection key for that website. No one else has it, and you can revoke it yourself instantly from the WordPress dashboard. However, it’s best if you provide us with all the necessary details so we can perform a full restoration in case of need.

No. Our service works with your current hosting, regardless of your provider. However, during the initial diagnosis, we also review your hosting: if we find it lacking (insufficient memory, an outdated PHP version, or a slow server), we’ll let you know and recommend how to improve it with your current provider or, if there’s no other option, which one to switch to.

In all three plans, updates are applied weekly and one by one. Before each change, we back up your data and take a screenshot of your control pages, then verify that everything continues to work as expected.

In all plans, we can help you with content management via an additional budget. If you choose the Premium plan, we include a set amount of monthly support for content management.

Yes. Our maintenance system is fully compatible with Elementor, WPBakery (the theme builder for themes like Salient), and the WordPress editor. We update the website, perform backups, manage SEO, and modify content without breaking the design.

Yes and at no additional management cost. We take care of purchasing and managing premium plugin licenses like Elementor PRO, WordPress Multilingual, or premium themes like Salient for you. (*Premium license costs will be billed additionally and without a management fee*)

You create and maintain the content in Spanish, as always. During each periodic maintenance, our system checks what content is missing to be translated into the other languages of your website and automatically translates it using our local AI model (which runs on our servers), with no limit on pages or languages and no additional cost for translation.

A clear and jargon-free report detailing everything we’ve done on your website: updates, translations, content changes, the status of your backups, and the security review, along with confirmation that the site is still functioning correctly.

The minimum commitment is 3 months, the time we need to update your website and make you notice the difference. After that, the service continues month by month, and you can cancel whenever you want.

We work remotely from Barcelona (Sant Cugat del Vallès), with clients throughout Spain. As it is a 100% remote service, no on-site visits are required.
