It is the same for computers and servers: it is included in <strong>Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations<\/strong> and <strong>Kaspersky Next EDR Optimum<\/strong> licenses, and is fully compatible with Windows Server.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Which license includes it<\/h2>\n<p>It cannot be purchased separately. When you subscribe to Kaspersky Next, you receive the license and install Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows on your devices. Each license covers 1 computer or 1 server and 2 mobile devices.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations:<\/strong> 33,18&nbsp;\u20ac per device per year, or 3,50&nbsp;\u20ac per month with subscription.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kaspersky Next EDR Optimum:<\/strong> 70,42&nbsp;\u20ac per device per year, or 7,00&nbsp;\u20ac per month with subscription.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prices excluding VAT. The minimum order is 5 licenses.<\/p>\n<h2>Is it compatible with my Windows Server?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes. According to the official help for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 14 for Windows, it can be installed on these server versions, including in Server Core mode:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Windows Server 2025:<\/strong> yes, compatible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Windows Server 2022:<\/strong> yes, compatible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Windows Server 2019:<\/strong> yes, compatible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Windows Server 2016:<\/strong> yes, compatible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2:<\/strong> yes, compatible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Windows Server 2008 R2:<\/strong> yes, with Service Pack 1 and the Windows updates required by Kaspersky.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Small Business Server 2011:<\/strong> yes, compatible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Windows Server 2008 (without R2) and 2003:<\/strong> no.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It also works on Remote Desktop (Terminal Server) servers with Windows Server from 2008 R2 to 2025. For computers, it is compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, and 7 with Service Pack 1.<\/p>\n<h2>What changes when installed on a server<\/h2>\n<p>The installer is the same for all devices. When it detects that it is on a server, it installs the set of components designed for servers, to avoid loading it with what it does not need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What it protects just like on a computer:<\/strong> file antivirus, ransomware protection, exploit prevention, network attack protection, firewall, device and application control, and EDR functions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What is not installed on a server:<\/strong> host intrusion prevention, adaptive anomaly control, and Kaspersky disk and file encryption. BitLocker encryption can be managed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What only exists on servers:<\/strong> Windows log inspection and system integrity control, which alerts if critical files are changed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In Server Core mode,<\/strong> web and email protection as well as web control are not installed, because browsing is not performed on this type of server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is why a separate product for the server is no longer needed: Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows replaces the former Kaspersky Security for Windows Server.
